Notorious black hat hacking group Lizard Squad revealed that they were behind the DDOS attack that was targeted at Blizzard at around 9.49 AM today. The group announced on Twitter that they have managed to takedown Blizzard’s World of Warcraft servers, Diablo 3 servers, Starcraft 2 servers and Hearthstone servers.
Taking down servers aren’t the only thing that Lizard Squad has managed to do as the hacking group somehow managed to gain access to a Blizzard employee’s email as well as personal information of key Blizzard personnel, including Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime.
