BlackBerry’s upcoming Android phone, the DTEK60 has been rumored for quite some time now. The device is expected to launch some time towards the end of this year, making it BlackBerry’s third Android smartphone in history. Meanwhile, BlackBerry has mistakenly published the DTEK60’s specs on its official website, and all has been revealed.
Based on the leaked specs on BlackBerry’s website, the DTEK60 sports a 5.5-inch QHD display with 534 ppi. Unlike the BlackBerry Priv, this DTEK60 does not feature BlackBerry’s signature physical QWERTY keyboard. On the other hand, the BlackBerry Convenience Key stays with the DTEK60. The handset’s internals include the 2016 flagship Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage, expandable via a micro SD card.
The BlackBerry DTEK60 will feature a 21MP PDAF rear camera that supports 4K video recording coupled with a wide angle 8MP selfie camera on the front, with f/2.2 aperture. The phone packs a 3,000mAh battery, plus a fingerprint sensor. As mentioned earlier, the DTEK60 will be running Android, alongside BlackBerry’s own security features from BlackBerry Security, designed to protect data and prevent users from being hacked.
If you have yet to be convinced, the above mentioned specs are still available at BlackBerry’s official website via the source link below at the time of this writing. What are your thoughts on the specs of the BlackBerry DTEK60?
