BlackBerry part ways with TCL this year – customer support to continue until 2022

TCL and BlackBerry have announced that they will be parting ways this August 31 after a three-year partnership that saw a resurgence in the BlackBerry brand.

With TCL, BlackBerry launched the likes of the KeyOne, Aurora, Motion, and Key2. Despite this, TCL will continue to provide warranty and customer support for their current line-up of products until August 31, 2022.

With TCL launching their own line of smartphones, it’s likely that the company aims to put full focus on pushing their own brand from here on out. This of course, brings an end to an era of decent Android BlackBerry smartphones – and they will be sorely missed.
