Big battery Huawei Y7 Prime set to make Malaysian debut on July 7

Huawei’s phones have been never less than impressive lately. The company’s Huawei Mate 9, Huawei P10 and Nova series of smartphones have shown us that Huawei isn’t toying around by any means. The Chinese manufacturer is now bringing one of its latest mid range offerings to Malaysian shores – the Huawei Y7 Prime.

The Huawei Y7 Prime features a sand blasted metal design body. Like most Huawei handsets, materials weren’t compromised. The display however, is a sub par 720p display measuring at 5.5-inches, falling short of the standard 1080p Full HD resolution. Underneath the hood, the Huawei Y7 Prime is powered by a Snapdragon 435 processor and 3GB of RAM. Storage comes in at 32GB, expandable up to another 128GB via the micro SD slot.

The camera department of the Huawei Y7 Prime features a 12MP rear shooter, sporting 1.25µm pixels. The selfie camera is of 8 megapixels, more than sufficient for standard selfie shots, equipped with an f/2.0 aperture. The phone packs a large 4,000mAh battery, which is claimed to offer up to a full day of use. It will run Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.1 out of the box.

The Huawei Y7 Prime will launch in Malaysia on July 7, with a price tag of RM999. The phone will be available in Gold and Black color options. What are your thoughts on the Huawei Y7 Prime’s battery size?
