Belkin and Devialet’s latest product combines a smart speaker and a wireless charger

When you hear the name Belkin, I’m pretty sure wireless chargers come into mind. Now, the company has collaborated with Devialet — a company famous for its loudspeakers — to create the Soundform Elite Hi-Fi Smart Speaker + Wireless Charger. 

Yes, that’s a rather long name but basically, this product is a Google Assistant-powered smart speaker that can wireless charge your devices. With Devialet’s Speaker Active Matching (SAM) technology and “Push-Push” woofer design, this speaker is said to be able to cancel out vibration while delivering rich bass while also reducing audio distortion at higher volumes.

While the bottom half is similar to the Apple HomePod’s design, the top is angled so you can place your phone there for wireless charging. The Soundform Elite has a Qi wireless charger with 10W charging support, in addition to some control buttons.

The Soundform Elite is priced at $299 and will go on sale in February.
