Asus ZenFone 4 will be updated to Oreo by the end of December 2017

Asus ZenFone 4 users will be happy to know that Android Oreo will be coming to the phone by the end of this month. News of this comes from an Asus forum moderator which posted up the reply when a user asked when will his ZenFone 4 get the Oreo update.

Users of the phone will get to take advantage of picture-in-picture mode, notification channels, notification dots, smart text selection and more when the update rolls out to the phone. The company also mentioned that they will be cutting back on the bloatware as the new version of ZenUI comes with 16 pre-installed apps comparing to the previous version that came with 35 apps. Initially, the ZenFone 4 was set to receive the Oreo update in the first half of 2018, so it is a pleasant surprise that they are releasing the update much earlier than expected.

If you are the owner of the mid-range ZenFone 4 phone, then you should expect to see an update by the end of the month, make sure you check back your system update menu in case the update comes in.
