ASUS' Swift PG248Q gaming monitor now available for pre-order

If you’re currently looking for a gaming monitor to complete your gaming setup at home, you might be interested to know that ASUS has opened pre-orders for the upcoming Swift PG248Q gaming monitor today.

The Swift PG248Q is a 24″ Full HD gaming monitor that comes with a native 144Hz refresh rate as well as a 1ms response time to eliminate smearing and motion blur. For those who like to tamper with their hardware, the PG248Q’s refresh rate can be overclocked to 180Hz. The monitor itself supports DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI, and it also comes with two USB 3.0 ports that can be used to charge mobile devices.

Nvidia graphics cards users will also find that the Swift PG248Q comes with Nvidia’s G-Sync technology that synchronizes the monitor’s refresh rate to the graphics card to eliminate screen tearing and minimize display stutter and lag. Furthermore, the monitor is also compatible with Nvidia’s 3D Vision 2 kit, allowing Nvidia graphics card owners to enjoy 3D content if they have 3D glasses on hand.

Other features of the Swift PG248Q includes a GamePlus hotkey that can enable in-game enhancements like a crosshair overlay, an onscreen timer, an FPS counter and a display-alignment function. ASUS’s GameVisual technology gives the monitor up to six preset display modes to suit the different game genres. Finally, the monitor comes with Ultra-Low Blue Light technology that allows you to filter out blue light.

Those interested in the Swift PG248Q can now pre-order it for RM2,619. The monitor is expected to be available sometime this month.
