ASUS ROG Phone 6D series now available in Malaysia from RM3,499

ASUS ROG Malaysia has announced the ROG Phone 6D series gaming phone today, these are the first gaming phones to be powered by Mediatek’s Dimensity 9000+ that rivals Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, although the ROG Phone 6D resembles the regular ROG Phone 6 in terms of aesthetics, it features a space grey color chassis and slight improvements on thermals.

Sporting the very same 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display that refreshes at 165Hz, the ROG Phone 6D is equipped with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage while the ROG Phone 6D Ultimate is equipped with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, hence unlike the regular ROG Phone 6, you will need to grab the more expensive variant that comes with a ROG Vision external display if you want more storage.

However, there is also a benefit for getting the ROG Phone 6D Ultimate as ASUS has introduced an all-new AeroActive Portal feature, which is a heat dissipation door that will work in conjunction with the AeroActive Cooler 6 that delivers more airflow into the device for improved thermals and performance, which ASUS claims up to 20% of improved efficiency whe the AeroActive Portal is activated.

For gamers who prefer a more unique gaming phone, ASUS ROG has also introduced the ROG Phone 6D Batman Edition, which is based on the ROG Phone 6D with a Gotham City Black color chassis, while equipped with the same 12GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration, it also comes with a Batman themed case and packaging that includes a Bat-Signal projector, Batman Aero Case and Batman Ejector Pin.

The ROG Phone 6D and ROG Phone 6D Ultimate will be available from 9 November 2022 onwards for the price of RM3,499 and RM4,999 respectively, the ROG Phone 6D Batman Edition on the other hand retails at RM4,799 and will only be available from 25 November 2022 onwards.

From 9-30 November 2022, customers can trade in any old smartphones to receive a RM300 rebate on the ROG Phone 6D at ROG Authorised Dealers, which is actually a decent deal if you want to level up your mobile gameplay.
