ASUS ROG Phone 5s series launched with Snapdragon 888+

The ROG Phone 5s series has officially been launched in its native Taiwan, and it packs the very powerful Snapdragon 888+. 

There are two models in the lineup – the ROG Phone 5s and the Phone 5s Pro; the difference between the two are that the Pro comes with a PMOLED display on the back panel as well as a couple of rear touchpads as well. 

Elsewhere, both phones have identical specs – a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED 144Hz display, the aforementioned Snapdragon 888+ chipset, up to 18GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, the brand’s signature AirTrigger 5 shoulder controls, and a 6,000mAh battery with 65W of fast charging support. 

For imaging, both variants come with a 64MP main lens alongside a 13MP ultrawide shooter, and a 5MP macro lens. For selfies, you get a 24MP camera. 

The regular ROG Phone 5s is priced from TWD29,990 (about RM4,553) while the ROG Phone 5s Pro is priced at TWD 37,990 (about RM5,767), The phones will be available in Taiwan this August 24, however there is no official word on the Malaysian release date yet; we’ll be sure to keep you updated here on our website.
