ASUS ROG Phone 5s series launched in Malaysia: Priced from RM2,999

The ASUS ROG Phone 5s series is making its way to the country and will be available to purchase this October 9.

ROG Phone 5s (8GB+128GB) – RM2,999  

ROG Phone 5s (16GB+256GB) – RM3,799 

ROG Phone 5s Pro (18GB+512GB) – RM4,999 

Specs 

As a recap, the ROG Phone 5s series comes with a Snapdragon 888+ chipset, which is quite the bump up over the regular Snapdragon 888 in the original ROG Phone 5.  

Both the ROG Phone 5s and Phone 5s Pro sport similar specs across the board, which include a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus layered on top.  

For imaging, both models sport a 64MP main lens, a 13MP ultrawide shooter, and a 5MP macro lens. For selfies, you get a 24MP shooter. 

What sets the two apart however is the inclusion of the ROG Vision rear display that you’ll find on the ROG Phone 5s Pro – the feature is essentially a small screen that can display customized text or animations on your back panel.  

On top of that, the Pro version also comes with a set of extra touchpads on the back of the phone. Powering both models is a 6,000mAh battery along with 65W of fast charging support. 

The phones will be available to purchase on Lazada or via official dealers from now until 24 October.  Your purchase gets you 1x free ROG Strix GO 2.4 headphone; or RM100 off your purchase of the ROG Phone 5s and ROG Clip.
