ASUS ROG introduces four AMD Ryzen 6000 gaming laptops in Malaysia

Shortly after launching their 12th Gen Intel gaming laptops, ASUS Malaysia has once again brought excitement to the PC gaming scene by launching four AMD Ryzen 6000 powered gaming laptops in Malaysia, they are namely the ROG Flow X13, ROG Zephyrus Duo 16, ROG Zephyrus G15 and ROG Zephyrus G14, these gaming laptops also come with upgraded graphics power over their predecessors with choices of up to a GeForce RTX 3080Ti or AMD Radeon RX 6000S series graphics.

2022 ROG Flow X13

The ROG Flow X13 is a 2-in-1 convertible gaming laptop that’s powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 6800HS processor, it features a 13.4-inch touch display that customers can either opt for a 4K 60Hz panel or Full HD 120Hz panel, graphics power is managed by up to a RTX 3050Ti Laptop GPU and the laptop will come with up to 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB of M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 storage.

Despite being a portable powerhouse, the ROG Flow X13 comes with a full keyboard with 1.7mm of key travel and generous amount of ports selection, it will also continue to support the proprietary XG Mobile interface for connecting to ASUS ROG’s ultra-portable family of external GPUs, which for this year, an external AMD Radeon RX6850M XT GPU XG Mobile has been added to the family.

The 2022 ROG Flow X13 will start at RM6,599 in Malaysia.

2022 ROG Zephyrus Duo 16

As the gaming counterpart of the ZenBook Pro Duo 16, the ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 is a dual-display gaming laptop that features the same secondary ScreenPad Plus for added productivity and gaming screen estate, the secondary display can be raised for a better viewing experience or laid flat to realize a nearly bezel-less screen.

The Zephyrus Duo offers two groundbreaking panel choices for the main display, and supports Dolby Vision in both choices.

The first, new for 2022, is ROG Nebula HDR, which has all the specs of ROG’s standard Nebula Display but with 512 Mini LED dimming zones, able to reach 1100 nits of peak brightness for stunning levels of contrast and color.  This QHD, 16:10 panel boasts a refresh rate of 165Hz and is VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certified with a 100,000:1 contrast ratio.

The second, co-developed with BOE, is a brand-new ROG-exclusive display called a Dual Spec panel, which is able to switch between 4K 120Hz and Full HD 240Hz, allowing gamers can choose whether to prioritize resolution or framerate on a game-by-game or app-by-app basis.

In terms of performance, the Zephyrus Duo 16 comes with an AMD Ryzen 9 6980HX processor and up to a GeForce RTX 3080Ti Laptop GPU that operates at 150W with Dynamic Boost, up to 64GB DDR5 RAM and 2TB+2TB Raid 0 storage configuration.

The 2022 Zephyrus 16 Duo will start at RM15,999 in Malaysia and goes all the way up to RM22,999 for the top configuration.

2022 ROG Zephyrus G14 and G15

Sporting the same iconic AniMe Matrix display on the front like their predecessors, both the Zephyrus G14 and G15 are now updated with 16:10 aspect ratio displays and an AMD Ryzen 7 6800HS processor, the G14 will however be an all AMD gaming machine as it is equipped with either a Radeon RX6700S or RX6800S graphics, while the G15 will continue to sport team Green’s RTX 3070Ti or RTX 3060 if you so much prefer.

Like other 2022 ROG gaming laptops, the G14 and G15 come with a dedicated MUX Switch for increased graphics performance, DDR5 4800MHz memory and WiFi 6E connectivity, the G14 is one of the first ROG laptops to feature ROG’s brand-new Nebula display, which has a Quad HD resolution that refreshes at 120Hz with 500nits of peak brightness.

The 2022 ROG Zephyrus G14 and G15 will have a starting price of RM8,499 and RM7,999 respectively.
