Asus officially launches the ZenBook Pro in Malaysia, starts from RM5,999

Asus has officially introduced the highly anticipated ZenBook Pro in Malaysia, the first laptop that comes with a secondary display that is position on the touchpad to further extend your productivity as well as extend the functions of other apps.

The ZenBook Pro 15 comes with an 8th Generation Intel Core i9 or i7 processor, 16GB of DDR4 RAM and 1TB of PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD. They also thought about gaming as have included a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics card and a 15-inch 4K UHD touchscreen display which supports the Asus Pen. There is also a lower powered variant that comes with an 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB of RAM an a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card. Lastly, they included an infrared camera for facial recognition as well as support for Amazon Alexa.

Perhaps the most interesting feature of the Zenbook Pro is the ScreenPad which allow users to put in into different configurations like a regular touchpad, extend the functionality of Microsoft Office apps, place shortcut tools and extend it into a second display that works as though it is a second monitor. Asus has mentioned that the SDK for the ScreenPad is available to developers and so far Spotify, Adobe, Microsoft and YouTube has already jumped on board to extend the functionality of their apps to the ScreenPad and there are over 700,000 apps on the Microsoft Store that will utilize the ScreenPad.

The Asus ZenBook Pro 15 will retail for RM10,999 for the i9 variant and RM8,999 for the i7 variant. Lastly, lower powered variant that comes with 8GB of RAM and a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 will retail at RM5,999.
