Asus might be launching a gaming smartphone during MWC 2018

Gaming phones might be the next big things as companies like Meizu who is releasing the E3 smartphone with a focus on gaming and rumours of Nubia releasing a gaming phone in the air. Mobile gaming is on the rise thanks to games like Mobile Legends and the many PUBG clones and it looks like Asus might be the next company to release a gaming smartphone.

For now, this information is still a speculation and there is no confirmation from Asus, as the teaser for MWC only confirms a new ZenFone 5 will be released during the event. However, according to some sources, the company is planning to release three high-end phones in the first half of 2018 and one of these phones might be the gaming smartphone. The three phones are the ZenFone 5, ZenFone Max Pro M1 and ZenFone 5z, but the Max Pro M1 will come with a Snapdragon 625 which is not the best processor for gaming. The 5z will come with a Snapdragon 835 which is more suitable for gaming, as the Razer Phone comes with the same chip.

The three upcoming phones will come with an 18:9 aspect ratio display with a near bezeless design and the ZenFone 5 will come with a slightly thicker bezel on the bottom and will launch on February 27.
