ASUS Malaysia to sell ZenFone 4 with 6GB RAM at RM2099

The ZenFone 4 made headlines a week ago, and while you can already purchase the Selfie and Max variant beginning this week, the all new 2017 ZenFone 4 (without any extra moniker) will be available in September and it seems that we Malaysian folks are getting a pretty special variant of the device, where it comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, while it still uses a mid-range Snapdragon 630 processor instead of a Snapdragon 660.

As reported by our friends over at Mdroid, dealers have already received official product brochures from ASUS and has therefore confirmed the mentioned specs above. During the launch, the ZenFone 4 is only mentioned with either a Snapdragon 630, 4GB RAM and 32GB storage model, or a Snapdragon 660, 6GB RAM and 64GB storage model. We are not sure if this is a regional thing, as the specs of the ZenFone 4 sold here is different than the global variant.

Additionally, the brochure has also revealed that there will be another lower end ZenFone 4 Selfie Lite to be sold, which is unannounced during the launch. The ZenFone 4 Selfie Lite will come with a Snapdragon 425 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, 5.2-inch HD display, a surprisingly huge 4120mAh battery, while sporting a 16-megapixel camera on both front and back. The ZenFone 4 Selfie Lite will be sold at RM899, which is RM400 off from the ZenFone 4 Selfie.

If you have been eyeing on the ZenFone 4, the phone will retail at RM2,099 with color options of Midnight Black, Moonlight White and Mint Green. Now, which ZenFone 4 would you buy?
