ASUS launches Vivobook 16 with new Intel Core 5 processor

At the prestigious Transcend Beyond Grand Launch Event, ASUS Malaysia proudly unveiled their latest addition to the laptop market, the ASUS Vivobook 16 (A1605). This new model is designed to offer an enhanced visual experience and optimized performance for a variety of computing needs.

Key to the Vivobook 16’s appeal is its large 16-inch 16:10 NanoEdge display, which boasts an impressive screen-to-body ratio of up to 86.5%. This design allows the laptop to offer a larger screen while maintaining the footprint of a conventional 15.6-inch laptop. The display also meets TÜV Rheinland standards for low blue-light and flicker-free viewing, ensuring comfortable use over extended periods.

The Vivobook 16 is powered by the Intel® Core™ 5 processor 120U, paired with 16 GB RAM and a 512 GB SSD. It features an IceBlade fan and a dual-vent cooling system for efficient heat management, along with WiFi 6 for ultrafast connectivity. The laptop’s 42 Wh battery ensures long-lasting use, making it suitable for on-the-go lifestyles.

ASUS has focused on user-friendly design elements, including a slim and lightweight metallic finish, a 180° lay-flat hinge, and a physical webcam shield for privacy. The ASUS ErgoSense keyboard and ASUS Antimicrobial Guard Plus protection enhance both usability and hygiene.

For conferencing, the Vivobook 16 includes ASUS AI noise-canceling audio technology and a webcam with 3D Noise Reduction (3DNR) for clear audio and video. The laptop also comes bundled with productivity-enhancing ASUS apps like GlideX, MyASUS, and ScreenXpert.

In terms of sustainability, the Vivobook 16 is made with 30% post-consumer recycled plastics and comes in 100% recyclable packaging. It surpasses ENERGY STAR® requirements for energy efficiency and meets US MIL-STD-810H military-grade standards for durability.

The ASUS Vivobook 16 (A1605) will be available starting January 29, 2024, at a price of RM 3,099. It will be offered in two colors, Indie Black and Cool Silver, and can be purchased from authorized ASUS resellers and the official ASUS e-store.
