ASUS launched the Zenfone Max Pro M2, priced from RM859

ASUS launched the Zenfone Max Pro M2 today in Indonesia, and the phone has several upgrades from its predecessor.

First and foremost, the Max Pro M2 has a larger screen than the M1 as it has a 6.3-inch LCD display. Besides that, the M2 comes with a different finish on its back whereby it now comes with a dynamic optical finish that is more reflective while the M1 has a metallic finish. The M2 is also using the Corning Gorilla Glass 6 that is the latest in its series, and it is said to be twice more resistant towards phone-dropping than the Gorilla Glass 5. The phone still has a headphone jack and a fingerprint sensor, and it supports dual-SIM and has a slot for microSD card.

Another upgrade that the M2 has over the M1 is the processor because the M2 is currently equipped with the Snapdragon 660 AIE. It has either 4/6GB RAM with 64GB storage, and like the M1, the M2 also has a huge battery of 5000mAh and it runs on stock Android 8.1.

The Max Pro M2 also has dual camera with 12+5MP lenses, and the front notch houses the 13MP front camera with a LED flash for soft light when users want to take selfies. The rear camera is also capable of taking 4K Ultra HD videos, and it can take pictures with bokeh effect.

The phone is available in two colours which are blue and silver, and the 4GB RAM variant will cost RM859 whereas the 6GB RAM variant will cost RM999.
