Asus introduces new Maximus X and ROG Strix Z370 motherboards that support Coffee Lake processors

With the Coffee Lake chips front Intel already out in the market, there is a need for motherboards that would support the power that these chips can produce. Asus has taken up the challenge and produced ROG Maximus X and ROG Strix Z370 series motherboard to support this new generation chips from Intel.

THe Maximus X Apex is a hardcore gaming and overclocking board designed to break performance records.

The Maximus X Hero will offer users leading performance with premium extras, Maximus X Code will redefine the performance essentials for gamers and enthusiast and finally, is the Maximus X Formula which was designed primarily for cutting-edge showcase PCs.

Then comes in the ROG Strix family which is catered to a more wider audience, it provides everything a gamer needs on a motherboard but excludes some of the indulgence features to place it at an affordable price point.

Previously, Asus’s motherboards have set a new overclocking record on the Maximus X Apex which brought the 8th Generation Core i7-8700K to a mind-boggling clock speed of 7.3GHz on all of its 6-cores and highest DDR4 memory frequency record with a speed of 5529.2MHz.
