Asus has recently announced two new devices that will be added to their Cerebus line of gaming peripherals, the Cerebus V2 gaming headset and Cerebus Mech RGB mechanical gaming keyboard with the V2 being the long awaited follow up the popular Cerebus gaming headset.
The Cerebus V2 features ASUS Essence drivers that delivers high-fidelity audio giving users a more immersive feel when gaming. The driver sizes were reduced to 53mm compared to the previous which is 60mm, allowing larger sound chambers for a richer sound making it not only great for gaming but also listening to music. The headphone is built with stainless-steel outer headband, comfortable padded inner headband and soft wrap-around ear cushions that are ideal for long wears. A four-pole microphone is also included with the headphone and audio/mic splitter to be used with older laptops and motherboards that need it. It also comes with two types of microphones, a detachable boom mic for clear voice communication and an in-line microphone for mobile use.
The Cerberus Mech RGB keyboard, on the other hand, comes with Red, Blue, Brown and Black Kaihua RGB switches which provide fast response and a durable lifespan of up to 70-milion keystrokes, full anti-ghosting and N-key rollover technology to ensure every key is registered even if multiple keys are pressed at once. With every key having individual LED lighting with millions of colours and seven built-in lighting effects, users can customise the keyboard exactly to their preference. The keyboard also comes with hotkeys for frequently used commands and on-the-fly macro recording without leaving the game, the recordings are stored on the keyboard ensuring that every PC the keyboard is plug into will have the same settings.
ASUS Cerberus V2 and Cerberus Mech RGB is estimated to be available by the end of the second quarter of 2017 with prices to be announced soon.
