Astro now offers bundled broadband with content offering to residents of Jasin, Melaka

Residents of Jasin, Melaka are now able to enjoy Astro’s unique bundled broadband with content offering.

With this new bundled broadband offer, it will provide the residents of Jasin with internet connections as well as Astro’s best in-class content.

The offer is a part of Astro’s support of the Government’s National Fiberisation and Connectivity Plan (NFCP).

“Astro is pleased to be part of the NFCP and will be offering our new broadband bundle with our content to our customers,” said Henry Tan, CEO Designate of Astro.

According to Tan, the offering will increase customer engagement as the bundled proposition will allow them to enjoy their favourite shows on demand via set top boxes as well as through connected devices such as mobile phones and tablets.

The bundled broadband offer will be a pilot project and Astro is said to be targeting an approximately 1,100 homes in an area where Astro has a strong 92% household penetration comprising Astro and NJOI customers.

Astro will be offering 50 Mbps and 100 Mbps broadband services with prices for as low as RM99 and RM129, starting from 1 February 2019.

The amount of fee paid will include Astro’s family pack content which has more than 40 channels including Astro Ria, Astro Prima, Astro Arena, Astro Awani, Astro AEC, Astro Xiao Tai Yang, NatGeo WILD, and FOXlife.

The pilot project will be held from 8 to 31 January 2019.

For Astro customers who have signed up for the bundled broadband, they are able to get free channel previews and complimentary broadband access for the month of January at current package rates.

Whereas for NJOI customers who signs up for the bundled broadband, they will get an upgrade to family pack and complimentary broadband access in January.

Astro bundled broadband not only caters to the connected lifestyle of a modern family, but also individuals needs for information, entertainment, and staying connected.

With the Astro bundled broadband, customers will be able to access the best of local and international entertainment, children’s educational program, animation, live sports (which also includes eSports), and content on demand in the comfort of their homes.

Lastly, Astro will contact eligible homeowners who lives in Jasin on the bundled broadband, which will be valid till 31 January 2019.
