Armani’s first ever Android Wear smartwatch will be available September

Armani, a household brand in luxury and high fashion, will be diving into the tech space later this year. The high fashion brand tested the waters last year with a hybrid smartwatch, which retains the analog mechanics of a standard time piece. Now Armani has announced that it will begin selling an Android Wear smartwatch in September.

The smartwatch will be dubbed the Emporio Armani Connect, and is manufactured by Fossil. The designer brand has announced that it will make over 300 smartwatches across different luxury and fashion brands, and the Emporio Armani Connect is one of them. Armani did not disclose much on its smart wearable’s specs, but those should be of standard affair – a touchscreen, Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor and so forth.

The Emporio Armani Connect will support up to 8 different styles of straps, and has watch faces exclusive to it by Fossil. The exact release date for the time piece will be September 14, in which the Armani Connect will be available at select outlets.
