The ARCHOS Sense 55S features a borderless display

ARCHOS has introduced a series of smartphones to the world. Among these handsets include a noteworthy one which is the Archos Sense 55S, with the company boasting its borderless display.

Unfortunately, the borderless display isn’t like what you think (Samsung Galaxy S8 and the LG G6. Instead the Archos Sense 55S features a display that is more similar to that of the Xiaomi Mi MIX from last year and the Sharp Aquos Crystal from 2014. There are nearly zero bezels, but only for the top. Below the 5.5-inch Full HD display is a massive chin, and the front facing camera is located at the bottom right corner.

Underneath the hood is an undisclosed quad core processor which is likely to be of a MediaTek origin, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which should be expandable although it hasn’t been indicated.

Another surprise of the Archos Sense 55S is that the handset sports a dual rear camera configuration. The dual cam setup consists of two 8MP sensors, which in combination will probably capture more light for better low light shots. It also packs a 3,000mAh battery, a rear fingerprint sensor and runs on Android 7.0 out of the box.

The Archos Sense 55S will be available in European markets beginning next month, and will carry a price tag of €249 (RM1,194.96).
