Apple's "Hello Again" event to be focused solely on laptops

This Friday, Apple will be holding its “Hello Again” event, where the company will be revealing its new Macs. Unfortunately, the desktop Macs will not be present at the event, as KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has mentioned that the event will be focused solely on its laptops.

According to MacRumors, Kuo has mentioned that while Apple is indeed working on an updated iMac model that comes with discrete AMD graphics options and a new standalone external 5K display, the Mac itself will not be ready for launch until mid-2017. That being said, Kuo mentioned that Apple may reveal the new iMac during the event.

As for the laptops, Kuo pretty much confirmed most of the details that has been leaked about both the MacBook Pro and the MacBook Air. For the MacBook Pro, Kuo mentions that the laptop will come with Intel’s Skylake processors, a new 2TB SSD storage option, as well as the OLED touch bar using a processor that is similar to the one found in the Apple Watch. For the MacBook Air, Kuo says that Apple will indeed be introducing a 13-inch MacBook Air, although he mentioned nothing about the rumoured 11-inch MacBook Air being discontinued.
