Barely a month of its release in Malaysia, Apple has issued the third iOS 17 update for the iPhone 15 series, which aims to resolve the infamous overheating issue that many users have encountered on the iPhone 15 Pro.

The issue was initially assumed to be poor thermal design for the A17 Pro chip on the iPhone 15 Pro, but Apple has dismissed claims on that and admit that it was a software bug that caused certain apps to overload the iPhone’s processor, which is the reason why we are looking at the iOS 17.0.3 update and we recommend that you update your iPhone as soon as possible.

The software update should have reached you by now, and if it doesn’t, you can always manually check it at the Settings app -> General -> About -> Software Updates menu to find out if it is ready for download.

In addition, you may also want to update your apps on the App Store as several apps such as Instagram, Uber, Asphalt 9 were among the culprits to overload the iPhone 15 Pro’s processor, which by now app developers would have updated them to work properly on your iPhone.
