It’s iPhone month, and while we anticipate the launch of the new USB-C iPhone 15 series, an interesting report from Mark Gurman, a correspondent and analyst at Bloomberg, has revealed that Apple may not be launching a Pro Max variant at its 12th September Wanderlust event.
Since the iPhone 13, the Pro Max variant has always been seen as a Pro variant iPhone with a larger screen and longer battery life, but that larger screen iPhone Pro might just not gain the Pro Max moniker and could be called iPhone 15 Pro 6.7-inch.
There’s only one new high-end 6.7 inch iPhone. No Pro Max and Ultra this year. Perhaps next year as I wrote in February. https://t.co/mSVCEotmtG https://t.co/OGrU2l3iKn

Gurman further elaborates that Apple will be launching only four models this round – the 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro and bigger Pro, while the rumored and highly anticipated Ultra variant might also be missing from the launch this round and introduced as a higher end model next year, but who knows, it could be a ‘One More Thing’ moment from Apple, just like how the company surprised us with the Apple Watch Ultra the last time.
With Apple’s launch just a week away, we aren’t only just expecting to see the new iPhone 15 series, but also the next generation Apple Watch and possibly new AirPods, so stay tuned while we bring you coverage of Apple’s iPhone event.
