Besides announcing the new iPad Pro, Apple has also launched the refreshed MacBook Air. It’s a 13.3-inch device that’s aluminium all around.

The Retina Display screen here packs a resolution of 2,560×1,600 and outputs over 4 million pixels. It’s also equipped with True Tone technology as we’ve seen before which adjusts the temperature of the display according to your environment.
Under the hood, you get a 10th-Gen quad-core Intel Core-i7 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz. It apparently delivers 80% more graphics performance compared to its predecessor thanks to the Intel Iris Plus Graphics integrated GPU. There are lower-end variants too packed with either an Intel Core-i5 or Core-i3 depending on your needs.
For storage, your options include a 256GB or 512GB PCIe SSD, which you can upgrade further up to 2TB of storage. 8GB LPDDR4X memory comes as standard and is upgradeable to 16GB.

The new MacBook Air is improved also with the Magic Keyboard, which was present in last year’s 16” MacBook Pro. These use the more reliable scissor switch with a 1mm travel distance. The trackpad is also 20% larger now too.
In terms of I/Os you get two Thunderbolt 3 USB-C ports which you can use for charging and connecting devices, which includes a 6K external monitor.

The iPad Air ships with macOS Catalina and comes with a 30W USB-C charger in the box. Three colours are available – Space Gray, Gold, and Silver. The Core-i3 variant is priced from RM4,399; while the Core-i5 model is priced from RM5,599. Upon odering, you can choose to configure your macBook with the aforementioned Core-i7 chip. If you’re a newly-registered college/university student, you’re also eligible for a discounted price of RM3,959 for the base variant.
