It is confirmed that Apple is currently investigating an issue regarding a bug that causes an incorrect display of the battery percentage of the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. The bug is stated to affect devices in which the time and date is being set manually or during the switching of timezones.

Apple recommends that affected iPhone users restart their devices, before navigating to “Date & Time” in “General” under “Settings” to toggle “Set Automatically” on.

This workaround should help “solve” this bug. However, if users encounter the same issue again, or if the bug appears without changing the time or date, users are recommended by Apple to contact the company’s support team.

We are keeping our fingers crossed, hoping that Apple rolls out an iOS update to fix the aforementioned bug. However, there hasn’t been any specific date as to when this issue will be fixed. So keep your eyes peeled for updates.
