Apple introduces 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Air

After a year of missing iPad announcements, Apple has finally unveiled the all-new iPad Air, powered by the M2 Chip, the new iPad Air comes in 11-inch and 13-inch screen sizes.

Aside from having a new screen size and improved performance, the new iPad Air has a redesigned display with its front facing camera moved to the side bezel that makes more sense for conference calls, the screens are still high-resolution Liquid Retina panels with a 60Hz refresh rate, which isn’t surprising as Apple has reserved high refresh rate screens for the iPad Pro.

For the 13-inch model, you get slightly better screen brightness at 600 nits as compared to 500 nits on the 11-inch model, it weighs 618g as compared to 462g on the 11-inch model.

The new iPad Air continues to feature a 12-megapixel rear camera that supports 4K video recording up to 60 fps, while the front 12-megapixel camera takes 1080p videos up to 60 fps.

As for accessories, the old Magic Keyboard and 2nd Gen Apple Pencil can still be used on these new tablets, and Apple has even included support for the newly announced Apple Pencil Pro, which offers more features for drawing and doodling.

Finally, Apple has finally doubled the base storage of the iPad Air starting at 128GB, while offering other storage capacities of 256GB, 512GB and 1TB. They are available in colors of Blue, Purple, Starlight and Space Grey.

The 11-inch iPad Air starts at RM2999 for the WiFi only model and RM3749 for the WiFi+Cellular model

The 13-inch iPad Air starts at RM3999 for the WiFi only model and RM4749 for the WiFi+Cellular model.
