2018 is obviously a year of smartphone notches and vertical camera bumps, all thanks to the influence of the iPhone X despite all the negative comments, the notch design will however be short lived as Apple is reported to remove it from iPhones next year to deliver an ultimate full screen experience, the sensors for the iPhone’s facial recognition feature is said to be relocated under the display panel or in a ‘tiny hole’, this piece of news comes from an industry source that is reported by ET News.
This is certainly good news for the company, as it has received much criticism on the iPhone X for being an exorbitantly high priced smartphone, though it still has the highest customer satisfaction than Android flagships. The iPhone X has also received huge price cuts from online dealers since it’s launch, though still expensive, you can purchase a 64GB iPhone X from 11street from as low as RM4,198. As for this year, Apple is already reportedly prepping three new iPhone models, which will come in 5.85-inch and 6.46-inch OLED displays, and a 6.04-inch LCD display.
Well, it is good to learn that the notch won’t be the future of full screen smartphone design, but we’ll have a year to see if this ever happens.
