More information about the iPad and Apple Watch have surfaced after Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman released the latest edition of his Power On newsletter which provides an inside scoop on what we can expect from Apple heading into 2022.
Three new iPads: iPad, iPad Pro & iPad Air
Not much information is revealed in terms of its hardware upgrades but we can expect the entry-level iPad to sport a thinner body as previously rumored. As for the iPad Pro, it might feature an added back glass to enable support for wireless charging that works similar to MagSafe on the iPhones; but for the overall design, it should not deviate too much from its current form. Moving on to the iPad Air, we can expect some specification upgrades to match the iPad mini that has the A15 Bionic chip, Center Stage, and 5G options. It will also be equipped with the same LCD instead of an OLED one for it to maintain its price.
Two new Apple watches
Mark Gurman also did not miss out on the smartwatches and mentions an updated Apple Watch SE, that other than a slight change to its design, there might also be added health features like a blood oxygen sensor and ECG functionality. Moreover, a new Apple Watch specifically made for athletes with a more “rugged” design with better resistance to damages like scratches, cracks, or dust was also said to be in the works.
These are just rumors however so it’s best to take it with a grain of salt; so make sure to stay tuned as we bring you more updates on these devices.
