AOC AG493UCX ultrawide curved gaming monitor launched: Priced at RM4,999

If you’re looking for a massive curved gaming monitor, read our review of the 34-inch PRISM+ X340 Pro 165Hz here! If you need something larger however, AOC has just launched the 49-inch AG493UCX. This behemoth of a monitor is priced at RM4,999 and packs a gaming-centric VA panel that pushes a resolution of 5120x1440 resolution and a curvature of 1800R. The panel supports up to 120Hz refresh rate at 1440p via DisplayPort 1.4, or 120Hz at 1080p via HDMI 2.0. There’s also support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, and Display HDR 400. In terms of colour output, the monitor offers DCI-P3 93% and an sRGB colour gamut coverage of 121%. In terms of ports, you get 2x HDMI 2.0, 2x DisplayPort 1.4, and 1x USB-C with support for DisplayPort Alt Mode. There’s a line-in port for you earphones, plus a couple of 5W speakers too. The monitor weighs 14.4kg with its stand, and measures 467.6-567.5mm x 1194.4mm x 308mm; it also supports a 100mm x 100mm wall mount too.
