Android Oreo update is now rolling out to Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe

Asus is busy updating all the previous ZenFone devices starting with the Zenfone 3, Zenfone 4 and 4 Pro. Now, they have added another phone to their Android 8.0 portfolio with the Zenfone 3 Deluxe. The company made an official announcement on their Asus ZenTalk forums that stated the over-the-air update will roll out to the mentioned phone.

The update will come with all the Android Oreo features like picture-in-picture mode, Notification Dots, Autofill password manager, adaptive icons support, Instant Apps and more. Other than that, it also comes with improvements in power consumptions and brings support for Long Screenshot. However, just like all updates, it will take time to reach all the Zenfone 3 Deluxe phones. You can manually check for this update by going to Settings – About – System Update to see if the update has reached your phone.

Asus has mentioned that they will be updating all models in the Zenfone 3 and 4 line up to Android Oreo by the second half of this year. Good to see a company working hard to support their older devices and keeping to their timeframe.
