Android Oreo software for Nokia 8 will be released very soon

Nokia definitely owes HMD Global big time, given that the latter company has brought the once popular phone brand back from the dead. Nokia did not do well when it partnered up with Microsoft, but has since shown positive results together with HMD after pushing out a series of Android smartphones.

The Nokia 8 is the latest in line of the company’s handsets, and is also the flagship one by them. Chief Product Officer of HMD Global Juho Sarvikas has teased images of Android Oreo software on the Nokia 8 which will be released very soon, or in his own words – “when perfect”.

This goes to show that Nokia and HMD have been working hard behind the scenes to bring the latest software to all of their handsets. In a reply on Sarvikas’ Twitter account, he also reinstates that Android Oreo will be arriving to the Nokia 3, 5 and 6 as well like promised earlier.

The images posted by Sarvikas show the Nokia 8 with an Android Oreo software update which weighs in at 1299.7 MB. The software update will bring in the beta version of Android Oreo to the device. This means that Android Oreo beta will be rolled out pretty soon to the Nokia 8.

HMD Global will probably be one of the first companies to roll out Android Oreo software to its devices. Are you looking forward to operating Android Oreo on your smartphone?
