Android Oreo confirmed to arrive on HTC 10, HTC U11 and HTC U Ultra

Android Oreo has just been unveiled in accordance with the solar eclipse event in the US. The latest version of Android has finally gotten a name after having its Developer Preview’s released over the past couple of months. While Android Nougat is still far from being in the majority of Android devices, many smartphone makers are slated to have Android Oreo running on their devices pretty soon, and Taiwanese company HTC has just confirmed a few of its handsets that will be receiving all the Oreo goodness.

HTC happens to be one of the first to confirm that its devices will get Android Oreo. This comes from a tweet posted on HTC USA’s Twitter, stating that the HTC 10, HTC U11 and HTC U Ultra will be running on Android Oreo in the near future. The announcement on Twitter also states that details and other Android Oreo potential HTC candidates will be unveiled soon.

HTC has lately been known for its swiftness in delivering new Android software updates. For instance, the HTC 10 ran on Android Marshmallow out of the box, but received Nougat software shortly after the latter was officially released. We should expect the waiting time for Oreo updates to be short as well, but HTC has not given an exact time frame for the release of the new software.
