More Marshmallow sweetness is arriving, device after device. This time around, it’s Sony for its Xperia devices.
Sony has a different take when it comes to rolling out software updates to its devices. Unlike most of its competitors, the company has a pattern of releasing software updates simultaneously to multiple devices of theirs. Having said that, according to Sony Mobile UK on Twitter, the Xperia Z5 line, the Z4 tablet and the Z3+ might be getting OTA Marshmallow software updates starting from March 7.
On another note, the Xperia Z2, Z3 and Z3 compact were added into Xperia’s beta program last week. This might hint an upgrade to Marshmallow for these aged flagship devices within the next couple of months after the “priority” ones.
Apart from that, the Z3 Tablet Compact, Z2 Tablet and a few other devices have been confirmed by Sony to have Marshmallow running on them, as vowed by the company last year. Sony has been quiet, but working hard to ensure most of its users get to taste Marshmallow.
