Android 8.0 update is now available for OnePlus 3 and 3T phones

OnePlus 3 users who are waiting for the latest version of Android to hit their phones will not need to wait any longer as the official OnePlus forums have confirmed that the update is rolling out to OnePlus 3 and 3T users worldwide. The update will bring an updated Oxygen OS 5.0 alongside the Android 8.0 update.

The forum has also announced the key features that will be coming in this update and it is confirmed that features like Parallel Apps, Picture-in-Picture mode, auto-fill, smart text selection, new Quick Settings design and September security patch will make its way to the phones with this update. On the cosmetic side of things, we will be getting notification dots, the ability to update photos directly to Shot on OnePlus and a new app folder design on the Launcher.

Currently, the update has not reached my person OnePlus 3T device but as like all OTAs, it will be a gradual roll-out but the company has a record of releasing the updates on the same day as the rest of the world, it will just be a matter of time before we start seeing the updates in Malaysia.
