AMD will reveal more about its Vega GPUs on the 28th of February

Yesterday, we’ve finally gotten our first official glimpse at the Ryzen 7 processors. Next week, we’ll be getting our glimpse of another AMD product that is highly anticipated by many: Vega.

On the 28th of February, AMD will be hosting a Capsaicin & Cream event at GDC 2017. This event will see Radeon’s lead Raja Koduri debuting to the public the Radeon 500 series of graphics card, cards that are based on the company’s Vega 10 and Vega 11 architecture. According to the press release, the event will run for an hour, and it will showcase “AMD’s latest graphics and processor technologies, reveal exciting new details surrounding Vega, and showcase the summer’s most anticipated PC and VR games from visionary game developers.

While little is known about Vega 10 and 11, we do know that both architectures are based on the new 14nm manufacturing process. The Vega 10 is expected to compete with Nvidia’s GTX 1080 graphics card, while the Vega 11 is rumoured to be competing with the GTX 1070.
