AMD will hold its "New Horizon" event on the 14th of December

The long wait for AMD’s upcoming Zen processors may soon be over as AMD itself has announced that it will be holding the “New Horizon” event on the 14th of December.

Little information was given as to what to expect from the “New Horizon” event, but the teaser website itself reveals a couple of interesting details. The first is the fact that AMD has confirmed that the Zen processors will indeed be launching in the first quarter of 2017. Judging by the event, it is entirely possible that the Zen processors will be available by January. AMD has also roped in Evil Geniuses’ Peter Dager, also known as PPD, to “put the Zen through its paces.

If you’re interested in watching the livestream, you can sign up for the livestream at the “New Horizon” website itself. Those of you who are planning to build a new PC should tune into the livestream, because according to the rumours go around the internet regarding the Zen processors, these chips could give the Intel Kaby Lakes a run for their money.
