AMD has had a great 2019, beating out rivals in almost every aspect – their latest Radeon RX 5700XT outperforms the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super by some margin while costing the same.
But that’s the more upper mid-ranged spectrum of the GPU list, Team Red’s HEDT GPU offerings have stagnated for a bit with the latest product being the Radeon VII. But for 2020, AMD looks to bolster their repertoire with a follow-up to the Radeon VII with a card that seemingly beats out the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti.
It’s most likely to be a Navi-based card and over on the Open VR Benchmark, an inconspicuous card simply named “AMD Radeon Graphics” with a sample AMD CPU (possibly something announced during CES 2020).
The table shows the purported GPU tested on the HTC Vive MV @ 90Hz at a 1512×1680 resolution – and it ranks higher than two other GeForce RTX 2080 Ti systems running on the same setup; by some margin mind you.
Tweak Town reports that AMD CEO Lisa Su mentioning that the company is preparing a HEDT GPU, Navi-based GPU and that we should expect one to come our way – with that, it could very well be this, a beast capable of thumping the best GPU to date.
