AMD has introduced the 2nd Generation Ryzen PRO and Athlon PRO desktop processors

AMD has officially announced the new and refreshed AMD Athlon desktop processors that comes with integrated Radeon Vega graphics. At the same time, the company also introduced the 2nd Generation AMD Ryzen PRO and Athlon PRO desktop processors to the market.

The Athlon 200GE combines x86 Zen cores and Radeon Vega graphics to provide reliable computing for day-to-day needs and heavy workloads like high-definition PC gaming. It comes with 2-cores, 4-threads along with 3.2GHz clock speeds and three graphics compute units. The PRO variant comes with the same specs as the non-PRO variant but supports a better architecture.

As for the Ryzen PRO desktop processors, it comes with three models, Ryzen 7 PRO 2700X, Ryzen 7 PRO 2700 and Ryzen 5 PRO 2600. The Ryzen 7 PRO processors come with 8-core, 16-threads with a clock speed of 3.6GHz and 3.4GHz respectively and both have boost clock speeds of 4.1GHz. Lastly, the Ryzen 5 PRO 2600 comes iwth 6-cores, 12-threads along with a base clock speed of 3.4GHz and boost clock speed of 3.4GHz.

The Athlon 200GE will be available starting 18 September 2018 and the Athlon 220GE and 240GE will be available in Q4 2018. As for the PRO processors, they will be available with OEMs like Dell, HP and Lenovo soon.
