Amazon reveals the all-new Kindle Paperwhite and it’s waterproof

The Paperwhite is one of the Kindle e-readers that is sold by Amazon and these e-readers are made for those who love reading yet worry about reading under bright lights. This is because the Paperwhite has a 6-inch high resolution display that is glare-free, unlike reflective smartphone and tablet screens. The Paperwhite is also thinner and lighter than its previous version, in addition to an increase in storage space, allowing users to choose the 8GB storage or 32GB storage should they want to more downloads.

One of the main upgrades to the Paperwhite is that it has waterproof rating of IPX8, which allows the device to be under fresh water up to 2 meters deep for 60 minutes. The cellular connectivity is also upgraded from 3G to 4G LTE, and like the rest of the Kindle e-readers, Paperwhite supports playback of Audible when paired with Bluetooth-enabled speakers or headphones. In terms of battery life, Kindle Paperwhite can last up to six weeks with a single charge, though it is highly dependent on the usage of the device.

The all-new Kindle Paperwhite is the 4th generation of its kind, and it is already available to be pre-ordered today on Amazon while the shipping will begin on 7 November. The new Paperwhite will cost you $129.99 for the 8GB model, $159.99 for the 32GB model and $249.99 for the 32GB version that has free cellular connectivity.
