Amazfit Bip U launched in Malaysia for just RM249

Bargain hunters may be familiar with the name Amazfit thanks to their reputation for making proper budget smartwatches that rival the likes of Xiaomi; if you’re familiar with the brand, then you’ll be glad to know that they’ve just launched a new model in the form of the Amazfit Bip U.

This smartwatch costs only RM249 and packs quite a few neat features. For starters, it’s got a 1.43-inch TFT display that pushes a pixel density of 302×302. It’s also layered with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 tempered glass with an anti-fingerprint coating.

The watch is square and has a button on the side for navigation. You also get a 20mm band at default which comes in three colours – pink, black, and green. To match your style, there are 50 watch faces to choose from, or if to make the watch your own, you can upload a picture as a watch face as well.

When it comes to tracking, there are over 60 sports modes which includes the basics such as running and cycling, or other activities such as yoga, and kickboxing. When tracking a workout, you’ll be fed information such as calories burned, heart rate changes, distance covered, and more. On top of that, the watch has a 5 ATM water-resistance rating which lets you dive up to 50m deep with the watch on.

When it comes to health tracking, there are four notable features – SomnusCareBioTrackerOxygenBeats, and Women’s Health; SomnusCare monitors your sleep; BioTracker measures your heart rate; OxygenBeats measures your blood oxygen level; while Women’s Health helps users keep track of their menstrual cycles.

When it comes to battery life, the Bip U packs a 225mAh battery, and the watch charges magnetically. Amazfit promises a 9-day battery life on a full charge – which is impressive considering many smartwatches only last about two days or so.

If you’re interested in getting the smartwatch, visit Amazfit’s official Lazada page here to make your purchase.
