Alienware unleashes its gaming laptops and desktop in Malaysia

After a long wait, Alienware’s 2016 version of the Alienware 17 and Alienware 15 laptops are now available in Malaysia. But that’s not all as the company has also brought in the Aurora desktop as well.

For the Alienware laptops, the company has made some design changes to both the Alienware 17 and Alienware 15. Both Alienware laptops now come with the “Hinge-Forward” design, which supposedly improves thermal support. The laptops are also outfitted with Alienware’s new TactX keyboard that comes with optimised RGB LED for better key lighting, 2.2mm gaming-grade key travel and N-Key rollover.

In terms of specifications, both Alienwares will sport Nvidia’s new Pascal graphics cards. The Alienware 15 is capable of housing a GTX 1070, while the Alienware 17 can come with a GTX 1080, making both laptops VR-ready. Additionally, the Alienware 17 supports Tobii’s eye tracking technology thanks to the implementation of a Tobii camera in the laptop. Prices for the Alienware 15 begins at RM6,999, while the Alienware 17 will have a starting price of RM8,299. Both machines will be made available by the end of October.

Moving on, we have the new Alienware Aurora desktop. First aunched back in June, this mid-tower desktop sports a much more compact design than its predecessors. Small though it may be, the Alienware Aurora is a potentially beastly machines, as it is powered by Intel’s sixth-gen processors, and it is capable of supporting up to two of Nvidia’s own Pascal GPUs. For those who like to tinker with their desktops, the new Alienware Aurora chassis comes with tool-less access, allowing you to swap out components with ease. For the overclockers, liquid cooling is an option that the Alienware Aurora supports. The Alienware Auroro will have a starting retail price of RM3,999.
