Acer updates Predator gaming laptops with 13th Gen Intel processors and RTX 40 series GPU

Acer’s Predator gaming laptops are finally getting the upgrade to 13th Gen Intel Core processors and RTX 40 Series GPU, as the company has announced four new Predator gaming laptops at its next@acer event, these gaming laptops are the Predator Triton 17 X, Predator Helios Neo 16, Predator Triton 14 and Predator Helios 3D 15 SpatialLabs Edition.

Predator Triton 17 X

The Predator Triton 17 X may be a minimalist looking gaming laptop, but it packs quite the firepower under its less than an inch height chassis.

Powered by up to an Intel Core i9-13900HX processor and GeForce RTX 4090 GPU, the Triton 17 X is capable of delivering impressive computing and gaming performance as the top-of-the-line Intel laptop processor has 24 cores that runs at 5.4 GHz of max turbo frequency, while the RTX 4090 GPU can effortlessly take on any current demanding game titles all thanks to its Ada Lovelace architecture and DLSS 3.

The Triton 17 X can also be configured with up to 64GB of DDR5 5600MHz RAM and 4TB of PCIe SSD in RAID 0. To further complement the gaming experience, the Triton 17 X can be equipped with a 17-inch 16:10 WQXGA mini-LED display with a 250Hz refresh rate and over 1000 nits peak brightness.

In terms of connectivity, the Triton 17 X features Intel Killer E3100G Ethernet and Intel Killer WiFi 6E AX1690i, a fast MicroSD 7.0 card reader, dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, two full-sized USB 3.2 Gen2 ports and HDMI 2.1.

The Predator Triton 17 X (PTX17-71) will be available in North America starting May 2023 onwards with a starting price of US$3,799 (RM16,859).

Predator Helios Neo 16

The Predator Helios Neo 16 aims to offer flagship features at a mid-range price point. Powered by up to an Intel Core i7-13700HX processor and GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU that pushes 140W of TGP, it can be equipped with up to 32GB of DDR5-4800MHz RAM and up to 2TB SSD in RAID 0 for a super responsive experience.

To add some fun to the ownership, the Helios Neo 16 features laser-etched encrypted codes on its abyssal-black anodized cover, which gamers are invited to decipher the message.

Sporting a 16-inch display, the Helios Neo 16 comes with either a WQXGA or WUXGA resolution which both refresh at 165Hz and cover 100% of the sRGB color space, they also feature NVIDIA G-SYNC to eliminate tearing in high refresh rate games.

The Predator Helios Neo 16 (PHN16-71) will be available in North America starting May 2023 onwards with a starting price of US$1,199 (RM5,321).

Predator Trtion 14

For gamers that prefer a portable yet powerful gaming laptop, the Predator Triton 14 offers up to an Intel Core i7-13700H processor with GPU options of a RTX 4070 or RTX 4050 Laptop GPU.

Unlike the above gaming laptops, the Triton 14 utilizes LPDDR5 memory and doesn’t come with RAID 0 support, though its SSD is self-upgradable, you are very much stuck with up to 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM for the rest of the ownership.

Available in 14-inch Mini LED or IPS panels that pushes either WQXGA or WUXGA resolutions, the Triton 14 offers a 165Hz refresh rate across the board.

In terms of connectivity, you get full-range of ports including Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, a MicroSD card reader and Intel Killer WiFi 6E AX1675i.

The Predator Triton 14 (PT14-51) will be available in North America starting May 2023 onwards with a starting price of US$1,499 (RM6,652).

Predator Helios 3D 15 SpatialLabs Edition

This laptop is probably the only gaming laptop that you can find with a glasses-free 3D display, which is all thanks to the collaboration with SpatialLabs.

The Predator Helios 3D 15 is powered by the Intel Core i9-13900HX processor and GeForce RTX 4080 Laptop GPU, equipped with up to 32GB of DDR5-5600MHz RAM and 2TB SSD with RAID 0, it offers a AdobeRGB 100% 15.6-inch 3D display that pushes 4K resolution in 2D and 1920×2160 resolution in 3D.

The Predator Helios 3D 15 SpatialLabs Edition will be available in North America starting June 2023 onwards with a starting price of US$3,499 (RM15,528).
