Acer unveils the new Predator line of gaming machines in Malaysia

After making their debut in New York, Acer has finally saw it fit to release their latest gaming machines in the Predator line-up. For the desktop, there’s the Predator G1; and for the laptop, there’s the Predator 17 X.

Let’s begin by taking a look at the Predator 17 X. Acer’s latest Predator gaming laptop sports a glass-fiber construction with edgy triangular elements and powerful colour accents. This 17.3″ laptop is powered by an 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7-6820HK, 32GB of DDR4 RAM, and a Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 graphics card. To keep the laptop from getting too hard, the Predator 17 X comes with a custom-engineered, cutting-edge triple fan cooling system. This ultrathin (0.1mm) all-metal AeroBlade fan offers superior airflow to keep the laptop cool and clean.

Complementing the GeForce GTX 980 graphics card, the Predator 17 X sports a 17.3″ Nvidia G-Sync screen that syncs frames rendered by the GPU to the refresh rate of the display. Overclocking is also made easy as the laptop comes with the PredatorSense UI, allowing you to boost the performance of the CPU and the GPU without too much hassle. For storage, the Predator 17 X comes with three SATA SDDs in RAID configuration. The laptop also comes with USB-C Thunderbolt ports, Killer DoubleShot Pro for better connectivity, and the Predator SoundPound 4.2 for stellar audio features. The Predator 17 X is priced at RM12,999.

For those who prefer a more traditional gaming experience, Acer’s Predator G1 is right up your alley. Featuring an armor-inspired design, the Predator G1 is a powerful beast of a machine that comes in an unexpectedly compact 16-litre body. For components, the Predator G1 is armed with a 3.4GHz Intel Core i7-6700 processor, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card. This configuration allows the Predator G1 to not only handle standard gaming with ease, it also allows the Predator G1 to be VR-ready. Indeed, the Predator G1 by itself is capable of supporting four VR standards.

Customizability is also a part of the Predator G1 experience as the desktop comes with the PredatorSense software. This software allows you to set up and activate different gaming profiles and configurations. Those who purchase the Predator G1 will also receive the Predator Mechanical Keyboard, a full-colour backlighted keyboard that offers greater precision and tactile feedback for better gaming experiences. For those who decide to get Predator G1 ASAP, you might be able to walk away with one of the 10 ultra limited G1 Desktop Transport Suitcase, allowing you to transport your G1 in style. The Acer Predator G1 will retail for RM10,999.
