Acer unveils Predator Helios Neo 14 and refreshed Nitro 16 gaming laptops

Acer has expanded its gaming portfolio with the launch of the new Predator Helios Neo 14 and a refreshed Acer Nitro 16, both equipped with cutting-edge technologies to enhance gaming and creative work. The Predator Helios Neo 14, designed as a portable powerhouse, features the latest Intel® Core™ Ultra processors, while the Acer Nitro 16 has been updated with Intel Core 14th gen processors, aiming to deliver a high-performance experience for gamers and creators alike.

Predator Helios Neo 14: A Compact Yet Powerful Gaming Machine

The Predator Helios Neo 14 stands out as Acer’s most compact model in its lineup, without sacrificing performance. It boasts an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 185H, enhanced with dedicated AI acceleration capabilities, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU supporting AI-powered DLSS 3.5. The laptop is also equipped with a WQXGA (3072×1920) display at 165 Hz, offering 100% sRGB color spectrum support and NVIDIA G-SYNC® compatibility, ensuring sharp, realistic visuals.

To keep performance at its peak, the Predator Helios Neo 14 includes advanced thermal solutions such as a dual-fan system with a 5th Gen AeroBlade™ 3D fan, Vortex Flow technology, and liquid metal grease on the CPU. Additional features include Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6E, a full-function USB Type-C with Thunderbolt™ 4, and a MicroSD card reader.

The refreshed Acer Nitro 16 is designed to cater to both gaming enthusiasts and professionals, featuring up to an Intel Core i7 14700HX processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU. Its 16-inch WQXGA (2560×1600) panel, with a fast 165 Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB color support, delivers vibrant visuals and smooth gameplay.

The laptop integrates Microsoft Copilot in Windows, providing easy access to AI-driven features, and includes Acer’s AI-enhanced video conferencing tools. The Nitro 16’s thermal design features dual-fan, quad-intake, and quad-exhaust systems, complemented by liquid metal thermal grease on the CPU to ensure optimal performance without overheating.

Pricing and Availability

The Predator Helios Neo 14 (PHN14-51) will be available in North America starting in May at USD 1,799.99 and in EMEA starting in June at EUR 1,999. The Acer Nitro 16 (AN16-73) will also hit the markets in North America in May, starting at USD 1,399.99, and in EMEA in June, starting at EUR 1,599.
