Acer has just announced a refresh to their Swift X laptop and it packs a whopping AMD Ryzen 7 5800U CPU and an RTX 3050Ti GPU, making it an good option if you need a mid-tier gaming laptop without all the frills of one.
That’s because you get all that power in very portable 14-inch laptop that weighs just 1.39KG, and measures 17.9mm thin. Its design is clean and minimalistic – think an all-metal body that’ll fit in at any business or classroom environment.
The Swift X comes with a FHD IPS panel that offers a decent 100% sRGB colour space, while the 85.7% screen-to-body ratio allows plenty of room to work on your creative projects.
To store your games and files is up to a 2TB SSD and powering the laptop is a 59Wh battery that Acer claims can last you up to 17 hours.
When pushed hard, the laptop’s improved cooling system, with its D6 copper heat pipes and air inlet keyboard that expels 8-10% more heat allows the device to remain at a working temperature.
There’s no word on when the laptop will arrive in the country, but the global availability should be this mid-June. The Swift X is priced from $899.99 (about RM3,727). Visit Acer Malaysia’s website for more updates.
