Acer Nitro 5 refreshed with AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX + RTX 3080

If you’re in the market for a gaming laptop that’ll handle the most graphically intensive games effortlessly, the  refreshed Acer Nitro 5 laptop now comes with the very powerful AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU.

This beast is paired with up to a the very capable NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 GPU, alongside 16GB RAM and a 1TB PCIe SSD.

The 15-inch laptop packs a 165Hz QHD IPS monitor, which also allows you the option of switching to a FHD resolution to get up to 360Hz refresh rate – a useful feature for esports gamers.

If all that’s a little overkill for your needs, there are more affordable variants as well – including Ryzen 7 5800H and Ryzen 5 5600H models that can be paired with either a GTX 1650, RTX 3060, or RTX 3070 GPU.

Design-wise, the laptop doesn’t stray far from last year’s iteration – it’s got the same edgy chassis, that’s mostly black, bar the red accents on the back exhaust vents. The keyboard is lit up with a four-zone RGB backlighting and you get a decent array of I/O ports as well – 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1, 1x USB Type C 3.2 Gen 2, 1x HDMI 2.1, and 1x 3.5mm audio combo jack.

Hi Victor, good update, thanks. Do you know what are the maximum graphics power and the boost clock values (possibly 80W with 85W Dyn Boost?) for RTX 3060, and 3070 used in the new 15" AN515 and 17" AN517, Acer Nitro 5?
