Acer launches a host of new laptops including the Predator Helios, ConceptD and Swift 5

The Next@Acer conference saw a host of products launched from the Taiwanese giants.

Acer Swift 5

The first of which is the Acer Swift 5. The 14-inch laptop boasts a thin 14.95mm body that’s made tough.

You get an FHD IPS touchscreen display that makes for better multitasking and productivity. Under the hood is an Inte Core 10th Gen CPU along with up to 16GB of LPDDR4AX RAM and 1TB of PCIe SSD for storage.

The 5wift 5 also has a hinge that lifts the laptop up a little for better thermal performance and typing experience. The laptop is powered with a 56Wh battery that can provide 4 hours of usage with just a 30-minute charge.

The Acer Swift 5 is priced from $999.99 (RM4,278) and will go on sale this October.

Acer ConceptD 3 Ezel

For creators, there’s the new Acer ConceptD 3 Ezel – it’s essentially a convertible notebook that can be used as a drawing pad with stylus support. It also has a stand mode which tilts the screen while opening up the keyboard for both drawing and using shortcut keys.

The display options include a 14-inch model and a 15.6-inch version – the panels are FHD PANTONE-validated displays that support 100% sRGB colours. Under the hood is an Intel Core i7-10750H or Intel Core i5-10300H CPU with an NVIDIA Quadro T1000 or GeForce 1650Ti card for graphics.

The Acer ConceptD 3 Ezel is priced from $1,499 (RM6,413) and will be available this September.

Acer Predator Helios 300 & Helios 700

For gamers, Acer also refreshed the Predator Helios 300 and Predator Helios 700 gaming laptops with the newest CPUs and GPUs.

The Helios 300 packs a 10th-Gen Intel Core H-series CPU which can be paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q GPU. With such powerful hardware, the laptop also packs a 15.6-inch 240Hz display so you can game at high FPS.

The Helios 700 can be equipped with up to an Intel Core i9-10980HK processor and up to an RTX 2080 SUPER for graphics. The Helios 700 is also a larger device thanks to its 17.3-inch 144Hz FHD panel. The touch pad can be extended out at an angle for better palm placement too.

The Acer Predator Helios 300 will be available this July and will be priced from $1,199 (RM5,129) while the Predator Helios 700 will go on sale later this September and will set you back at least $2,399 (RM10,264).

Acer Enduro N7

For the adventurer, the Acer Enduro N7 is built tough and features shock absorbent materials to withstand drops and tumbles. The laptop is also MIL-810 and IP65 certified when it comes to protection so it’s meant to brought outdoors, across rugged terrain.

The 14-inch laptop also boasts a 10-hour long battery life and has another built-in bridge battery for more juice. Its internals are also beastly with an Intel Core 6th-Gen i5 CPU.

Acer hasn’t announced the availability and pricing of the Enduro N7 yet but we’ll keep you updated as more information comes.
