Acer introduces Nitro Blaze 7, its first gaming handheld in IFA 2024

Acer has officially entered the gaming handheld market with the Nitro Blaze 7.

Unveiled at IFA 2024, the Nitro Blaze 7 weighs 670g, it is powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS processor paired with 16GB LPDDR5-7500 RAM and up to 2TB of NVMe storage, it has a 7-inch FHD IPS touch screen that refreshes at 144Hz and supports AMD FreeSync Premium that eliminates visual tearing.

To make the gaming handheld experience better, the Nitro Blaze 7 comes with Acer Game Space that lets gamers access to their games from multiple platforms, gamers will also get 3 months free PC Game Pass to access hundreds of high quality PC games.

Gamers will be happy to know that the Nitro Blaze 7 will feature LT/RT Hall effect triggers for better control feedback in games.

Finally, you get WiFi 6E connectivity, a USB-C 4.0 port that supports 65W fast charging on its 50Wh battery, and a MicroSD card slot for expanding storage. Acer has left out details on the gaming handheld’s battery life and upgradability, but we can safely assume that it should be similar to the competition.

The Acer Nitro Blaze 7 starts at EUR849 (RM4,095) and is expected to launch in various markets later this year.
