Acer introduces a refreshed Swift 5, Chromebook Spin 14 and the Chromebook Tab 10

Acer has introduced a nice lineup of new thin and light devices that is catered to the different needs of its users during their next@acer event in New York today. We have seen a refreshed Swift 5, the most powerful Chromebook and the Chromebook Tab 10 which comes with its own built-in stylus.

The Acer Swift 5 is one of the thinnest laptops we have seen last year. In 2018, Acer has moved forward breaking the design logic by increasing the screen size to a 15.6-inch touch screen and still manages to keep the weight under 1kg even with a bigger battery.

Next is the Acer Chromebook Spin 13 which now comes with an 8th Generation Intel i5 processor, making it the most powerful Chromebook laptop in the world. It also has an all metal design with their signature 360-degree dual torque hinge, allowing you to put the laptop in multiple configurations. Lastly, they also upgraded the touchscreen with Corning Gorilla Glass for extra durability.

The last device in their thin and light line-up is the Chromebook Tab 10, which is one of the first tablets that will be running on ChromeOS. The tablet is mostly focused on education as it comes with Google Expedition AR for learning by interacting with the study materials. It also has a built-in Wacom EMR stylus which is a rare sight nowadays and it can be managed by the Chrome Management Console, making it easier for teachers to monitor their student’s activities on the tablet.

No prices or release dates were announced but we should be getting news about this devices in the next couple of weeks or when Acer Malaysia announces the arrival of these products in Malaysia.
